De’bizzles Love Story II

The next day I woke up to his messages citing the lyrics of a beautiful Yoruba song saying: "Motirenikeji mi, Eni bi okan mi, more rajo ife, je n fa e lowo dani "😁 followed by a voice note, "Good morning Arewa, hope you slept well? Adunmaradan, eleyinjuege..." and other beautiful Yoruba names, I smiled because it’s been long I heard someone in such a traditional way😁

He was to leave for his base osogbo that morning and I was also getting ready for work. We continued chatting and on the 12th of February he asked me to be his girlfriend and I refused. Hoping he would back off but he never did, chatting was good I was smiling a lot and the beautiful Yoruba name calling and Yoruba Romantic songs were still consistent. On the 20/02 he asked I pls wake him up the next morning by 6:0am he would like to tell me something, I asked why it has to be 6am and he said incase I decline his request he would go back to sleep and take it as a dream and act like he hasn’t asked 😁. By 6am the next morning he called by himself and asked me out again plus this time he said he doesn’t just wants to date me, he wants to marry me, and I still declined😁 even though I was already enjoying his company, and the fact that we haven’t even met in person. How do I date someone I have not met in person, don’t know his character and all apart from all what he has told me let alone marry him.

A week after, I was at work and needed to get some work done at the next building, stepping out of my office I saw a car drive by and there he was😳😳. I was surprised because we had spoken that morning and few minutes before stepping out. We hung out and spend some time together and I realized he was playful, silly, and jovial just like the chat (And I had always wanted a playful partner that we can do silly things together). Those observations of mine made my heart skip a bit for the first time and gradually I started opening up to the idea of dating him.

Weeks after I also decided to pay him a surprise visit in the last day of the Muslim fasting just as he showed up in Akure on the first day of fasting. I went to actually take a look at his lifestyle, and work and see him in his own element and I wasn’t disappointed it was just as he has described to me. At this point, every week he ask me to please marry him and my answer was still the same.

After the surprise visit to Osogbo I couldn’t deny or fight my feelings anymore and when next he asked me to please marry him I said Yes to dating him😁. Meanwhile before I even said yes to dating him he had sent several proposals rings and asking for my choice and all. As at then to me, they were all tricks to just get girls so I never took him seriously.

Few weeks into the sweet relationship I never thought I would be in, he asked to go visit my mum, invited me to his family house for the the Ileya festival, and like that I had the most beautiful relationship experience filled with love, care, strong faith, forgiveness and kindness.

And here we are... De’Bizzles26.
